When for the first time in 2014 PM Modi was elected to power, he introduced the nation to his mantra of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas".
This vision was about attaining developmental progress where everyone will be a stakeholder and it was the resolve of working as the whole team. Same is required during the time of crisis like COVID-19 which the whole nation is facing today. The effective implementation of this vision requires everyone from citizens to governments to work with the same spirit both at central and state level. A fitting example of the same spirit is Pijush Hazarika who is the hon’ble State Health and family welfare minister of Assam.
After the Jamaat incident, the cases of COVID-19 swiftly surfaced in Assam at an alarming rate but the effective health policies in Assam has helped in limiting and dealing with this threat. Any policies unless it is properly implemented at ground level can’t change the scenario. Pijush Hazarika along with Himanta Biswa Sarma understand this well and both of them are leaving no stones unturned. Be it visiting hospitals after hospitals or monitoring the policies, Pijush Hazarika is assuring this with full efficiency.
Many may still believe that the fight against COVID-19 in Assam is an individual act of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma but this battle remains incomplete without a team. Indeed, Himanta Biswa Sarma is also putting his individual efforts in dealing with pandemic but this crisis requires a team where combined efforts are more crucial. When both youthful energy and the profuse experience work together in a team, the outcome is always productive and Assam Health department at the time of this pandemic displays the same.
We still have a long way to go in this battle but Assam is fortunate enough to have a team where youth energetic icons like Pijush Hazarika and qualified administrators like Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma are available to deal this COVID-19 pandemic. Pijush Hazarika tailors well to the vision of PM Modi where he wants the governments to work as a team with a mission in defeating COVID-19.
