When China saw "The Great Wall" in India

The Great Wall of China is one of the popular architecture across the world. Millions of people tour this place in China to witness this marvellous architecture. The architecture of great China wall apart, it is also essential to understand that even in other terms, a wall holds more prominent importance. A wall is something which signifies safety from external intrusions and the recent ban on 59 Chinese applications by the Indian government can also be viewed in a similar sense. The recent ban on 59 Chinese applications including Tik Tok has put a great digital and economic wall of India which has prevented the intrusion of China in India. Right from the safety of data of Indians to the money of Indians, all were at the risk of Chinese intrusions. We were enjoying by making videos on Tik Tok and had used these 59 applications in our daily lives to make our lives more comfortable but there was a hidden cost behind this which was a severe risk to the national security. The major issue with these Chinese apps was privacy and as per Chinese National intelligence law of 2017, Chinese companies require all data collected by them to be shared with the communist party of China. It implies that whenever we had conferred permissions on our mobile phones to these 59 Chinese apps, all of our personal data in some way was shared with the Chinese government. China constantly denies all such allegations but the track record and trustworthiness of China is very poor. In 2019, Huawei (a Chinese company) employee was arrested in Poland over spying allegations and was later fired by the company. No democratic and sovereign nation would ever like this and so it was a much-required step to safeguard the data of the Indian citizens from Chinese intrusions. For instance, Tik Tok was having 119 million active users in India and Chinese intrusion to the personal data of these 119 million users speaks the volume of security threat which India was suffering.

If you think that China only follows the policy of expansionism by intruding in other lands then you are mistaken. They also intrude the digital and economic space of other nation and use it negatively for personal malicious advantages. China right from 2015 is reducing their military volume and instead investing more in the cybersecurity arena which is less for their security but to stimulate more cyber-attacks on other nations. This can be well understood by the fact that after the Galwan incident, in the month of June alone, India had recorded more than 40,000 attempts of cyber-attacks from Chinese hackers. But now, the decision to ban 59 Chinese apps will assist the government to restrain the malicious security threats from China and this is a digital wall which has stopped this digital intrusion from China.

Similarly, to curb the Chinese intrusion in the economy of India, the government has halted the entry of Chinese companies in highway projects of India worth of 100 lakh crores. Apart from this, the entry of China in telecom sector for 4g up-gradation has also been banned and when China was attempting was take over the Indian companies by utilising the advantage of corona pandemic, the government had swiftly changed the FDI norms where any country without the approval of government can't invest or takeover Indian companies. All these sequences of moves are like a great wall which India has put in front of China to prevent malicious economic and security invasion and the message is blatant and open "This is new India which knows to defend itself right from borders to the economy". India is not against globalization and self-reliant India is not the idea to stop other nations to do business but no one can invade our market with malicious agenda. This the great economic wall of India which China can't invade unless it doesn't improve its approach towards India.
