NaMo Reclaiming the Idea of India

The whole nation illuminated on the night of 5th April (Sunday) to show solidarity against the fight of corona epidemic. This was a magnificent moment which will be remembered in history for generations to come. This moment was marked by people turning off the lights of their houses for 9 minutes at 9 PM night and millions lighted earthen lamps. Many people across the nation flashed their mobile flashlight amid the darkened sky. This all was done in response to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal where he asked citizens to show the combined resolve in the battle against corona pandemic which today has become a severe threat for the whole world. But the message which one can read behind the scenes was the charisma of PM Modi which started in 2014 and continues till date. Be it people lighting lamps together or clanging utensils in support of our warriors who are still serving us amidst this lockdown, one aspect which appears clear is the trust and love which people have for PM Modi. It is not difficult to know the reason behind this unstoppable faith, PM Modi ever since he took the charge of the nation, the very first thing in his priority was the revival of ancient cultural values of India. Over the years, these cultural values were defined as the synonyms of religious supremacy by a particular political class where the minorities were made to believe these values as a threat to their identity. These self-proclaimed champion of minority rights often present them as a liberal society where they see religion as the obstacle in the growth of our society. But they had always failed to stand to this belief by honouring all the religious values except values which are associated with Hinduism. For them, celebrating New Year with light was always great but celebrating Diwali was an act of superstations. For them, happiness classes in western nations are ideal but yoga and meditation to achieve the same is an act of religious supremacy.
Today this all has changed and the one who is redefining this approach is none other than PM Modi who never shy away from speaking out the great and vibrant civilization values of India which for a long time had been constantly devalued by the left-liberals and the political class driven by these ideas. India under the power-packed leadership of PM Modi is pushing the narrative of honouring the great cultural and civilization values which indeed is a part of Hinduism. This is something which majority of Indians can relate to. There was a time when minority appeasement was cool but this appeasement was done at the cost of painting the majority community as culprits which were illogical. Every year, the highest office of USA, White house celebrate the Diwali festival but ironically, before 2014 we had seen our previous governments hosting Iftar party which was another act of appeasement. Modi government was the one who stopped this after coming to power. A sense of equality was missing since long and Modi has done very well towards changing this narrative without demeaning the Hindu civilization of India. This Hindu civilizational values which were earlier painted as religious supremacy is far from the real definition of acceptance for all. The foundation of Indian culture which is without any doubt a Hindu culture is less about religious beliefs but is more about the cultural identity of all irrespective of the religious faith one believes in. The left inclined society willingly doesn't acknowledge this simple fact that the people of this nation love their ancient culture religion and civilization which is not about bullying other sects of faith. The people of this nation who forms the majority for a long time have seen their cultural identity being denigrate by an ideology. This has made the people especially Hindus outraged not against other faith but against those ideologies who had never respected the nations ancient culture and the response to PM Modi,s appeal is the indication of the same. India under PM Modi is shifting from the devotion of western secularism to the culture which speaks of "Sarve Bhawantu sukheen, Sarve Santu Nirmayah”, means may happiness and wellness for all which is our own version of secularism. Indian liberals may or may not like people of India loving Cows, chanting mantras or lighting Diyas but these are the ancient culture to which all of us are part of and Modi is reclaiming and redefining the original idea of India which was devalued for long by our liberal society.
