Glorious Culture of BHARAT

Bharat is a land of unity in diversity and it is not only correct about its people, languages, religions, customs, and occupations but it holds true about its geographical features also. But there is something unique in our civilization that keeps us together as a Bhartiya.

Our dharmic holy scriptures reflect the functioning of our civilization. As described in Bhagwata Purana Cosmic Ocean was churned in order to acquire amrita. This churning in the Bhartiya context is nothing but a brainstorming method that answers our questions not simply based on a belief system but with logic and reasoning behind it.

The Bhartiya civilization has emerged successful in representing the Indic vision for Bharat and its Bhartiya people. Our cultural heritage is something that encourages people to envision them in our Indic civilizational framework based on Lok Parampara.

Our cultural heritage which is based on Lok Prampara should be preserved and should be used for national unity and integrity. Preserving our cultural legacy would help to bring awareness among the masses about our rich cultural ethos that is based on the principles of universalism.

Bharat is a vast country with countless variations in races, cultures, languages, and even geographical features. Bharat and its unique cultural heritage mirror the true diverse Lok Paramparas of Bharat. In many countries of the world, major variations in cultural practices become the driving force in dividing the community. However, in India, we have learned to live in diversity, and our variation in cultural practices or Paramparas further solidity this bond of national unity. This could be a case study for many other parts of the world but for us as a Bhartiya, this is not new because we know that our diverse Lok Paramparas teaches us that not every time differences mean division. Differences for us largely mean exploring fresh ideas and achieving more ways of co-existence.

Our rich cultural heritage and its vast diversity are something that defines the civilizational features of Bharat and shows the strength of our country in sustaining it as a continuous civilization even today. It is essential to note here that Bharat and its cultural heritage has immense diverse practices and knowledge treasures in the form of language, and age-old practices that hold the true example of our civilization. Therefore, without examining the diverse cultural practices of India, one can't avail full-fledged insights about the Lok Paramparas of Bharat.

In Bharat, people differ considerably in their social habits. They differ in their dresses, customs, food habits, and manners. Different kinds of festivals are observed in different parts of the country by different categories of people. Despite all of these, if there is something that has kept Bharat and its people as one single unit, it is the ancient cultural legacy of Bharat which upholds national interest above everything.

Bharat and its different tribes and their diverse social customs and cultures don't keep them excluded from the Bhartiya Identity. Instead, it is the part of larger Dharmic and Lok Parampara identity of the Bhartiya civilization where unity lies in its diversity. Today we are at a time when the world is debating much about the way to achieve gender equality and respect. However, the 'Concept of Shakti' in our cultural heritage has factually proved that the strength of the female and their paramount space in social structure have always been a driving force for the sustainability of Bhartiya civilization.  For the rest of the world, it could be a new idea but in India, it was an age-old idea.

Bharat is not just identified by its people. It is identified by its Sanskriti and Paramparas because this is something that makes Bharat a living civilization. Universalism in the Bhartiya context means inclusive co-existence, tolerance, and respect for women. Hence Bharat needs to safeguard and defend its cultural heritage which acts as soft power for us.

Bharat is not just a piece of land. It is an idea that is beyond geographical boundaries upholding the essence of universalism that is deeply rooted in its cultural heritage and legacy. This cultural legacy of Bharat and its knowledge system has the ability to bring peace and stability in the world which the whole world is looking for today.

But the glorious culture of Bharat can keep its glory intact only if we as a Bhartiya work towards preserving our cultural heritage by adopting its rich values in our lives for the betterment of the entire world.
